Respected and loved by musicians and swing dancers alike, Big Joe puts together an all-star band especially for us! The line-up is a swing dancer's dream, featuring Big Joe Maher on drums, Tommy Cecil on bass, Wade Beech on piano, Jim Stephanson on guitar, Jerry Queene on saxophone, and Vince McCool on trumpet. Big Joe and the guys are just as excited about playing for Frankie as we are to have him with us. This will be a don't-miss night for both music and dance lovers.
Frank will be signing copies of his book Frankie Manning: Ambassador of Lindy Hop, on sale at Chevy Chase Ballroom!

When you're talking authentic Big Band sound, the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra is second to none. True to the tradition of Swing, their mission is to revive the music of the Big Band Era and to preserve this music in it's living form by giving recognition to the great creators: Count Basie, Duke Ellington, "Pops" Louie Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Lucky Millinder, Earl "Fatha" Hines, Billy Eckstine, Lionel Hampton, and others.
P.S. This is also one of Frankie's favorite bands!
