SEE TOM AND DEBRA IN THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC!
In June 2005, National Geographic sent a photographer to Chevy Chase Ballroom and Tom and Debra’s dance at the Spanish Ballroom as part of an article and photo spread on dance. See the article online at National Geographic; don’t miss Sights and Sounds for photos.

Tom and Debra, along with our dance team the Eight Week Wonders, were honored to serve as official swing dancers for the World War II Memorial dedication activities on the National Mall Memorial Day weekend, May 27-30, 2004. Throughout the weekend, we conducted beginner swing dance lessons and dance performances at various spots around the Mall. The crowning honor was presenting our good friends Jean Veloz, Irene Thomas, and Chuck Saggau, performers from MGM's 1940s swing dance films, at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History on Saturday, May 29. Our Sunday, May 30 USO benefit dance staring the Artie Shaw Orchestra at the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park was attended by over 800 people.
