Along with Harold, for years as one of the most exciting tap dance duos around. Starting out in their hometown Philadelphia in the 1920s, they soon moved to Harlem where they graduated to appearing in musical shorts and a long-running job at the famous Cotton Club, performing with the likes of Cab Calloway, Ethel Waters and Duke Ellington.

The brothers appeared at the Lafayette Theatre and made their screen debut in Pie, Pie Blackbird, a musical short starring the Eubie Blake Orchestra. Their work in the short film won them a long-running job at the prestigious Cotton Club, performing on the same bill with legendary entertainers such as Cab Calloway, Ethel Waters, and Duke Ellington. From Harlem the Nicholas Brothers moved on to Hollywood, where they appeared in numerous films including Stormy Weather and Sun Valley Serenade with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. In the 1950s they spent much of their time in Europe, performing before appreciative audiences there.

The Nicholas Brothers have appeared in every major television show, nightclub and theater in America and performed for the troops in Viet Nam in 1965. The brothers have received many tributes and awards, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Kennedy Center Honors in 1991 (presented by President George Bush), and an honorary doctorate degree from Harvard University.

Tom and Debra are honored to be presenting this great American treasure. For more information on Fayard Nicholas and The Nicholas Brothers, visit their website at www.nicholasbrothers.com
