TRACK I—The Plan: If you have ever taken lessons from any of this weekend's instructors, you know they approach beginner classes the same way they approach advanced classes: covering the most important and complex aspects of Balboa so their classes are equally beneficial to people new to dancing as well as advanced Lindy Hoppers who are looking to expand their repertoires. Beginner students will learn the solid fundamentals of Balboa and Bal-Swing basics and how to transition among them.
Who should take Track I: Anyone who has never done Balboa before, or who cannot comfortably do a Basic, a Throw-Out (or Toss-Out), Lollie Kicks, Cross-Overs, or a Come-Around.
TRACK II—The Plan: The intermediate track will solidify the basics and add new content and ideas to start challenging dancers. Expect turns, musicality, slides and more.
Who should take Track II: Students should be comfortable doing the Basic, Come-Around, Lollies, toss-Outs and Cross-Overs, and be able to confidently lead and follow them socially. Knowledge of a few pure-Balboa ad lib steps and other moves or stylings is greatly recommended.
TRACK III—The Plan: These classes will challenge advanced Balboa dancers with new moves and concepts to expand their understanding of Balboa.
Who should take Track III: Students should know the basic moves of Balboa and be able to dance them socially, and should possess a repertoire of advanced moves and rhythms they are comfortable with.
